In my time at Bartle Bogle Hegarty I made many TV campaigns. However, there is one that stands out for me as my clear favourite.
Our film for Lego was directed by Frank Budgen and shot entirely in Budapest. When we were looking for locations, we had to find somewhere that could be dressed to resemble different locations around the world. The area surrounding Budapest had it all – everything from skyscrapers to desert (which wasn’t a very big desert, more like a dune really).
I didn’t know back then that I would end up living in Denmark, the home of Lego. But it certainly carries some kudos here when I mention that I’ve made a film for their beloved plastic brick makers.
